   When you log into the new BearMail you must enter your ENTIRE address.

   Example: Window Live ID: help1234@bears.unco.edu

2.     To use your new BearMail account log on at http://bears.unco.edu .

   Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a LOT of email on the old system - there is a better way to transfer your email and folders. Look at the Transferring e-mails from old BearMail to the new BearMail helpsheet.

If you want to transfer your old BearMail contacts, look at the transferring contacts from old BearMail to the new BearMail helpsheet.

If your browser is IE 7 and is having a problem rendering the login page to the new Bearmail - reset the browser.
Tools/Internet Options/Advanced Tab/Reset button -
Close all your browser sessions and then reopen browser.

   The new version of BearMail includes:

·       Increased storage capacity of 10 gigabytes

·       Improved, easier-to-use address book/contacts and calendar functions

·       Modern graphic user interface and enhanced customization capabilities

·       Student selected hostname: @bears.unco.edu

·       Input from students about features

The new BearMail will not include the capability for automatic forwarding of all incoming messages.

UNC’s Information Technology Committee used student input in tailoring the new web-based student e-mail product.
